A shortage of homes and falling interest rates should make the stock of homebuilder D.R. Horton, Inc. (DHI) rise higher.

Wall Street, FX Empire

In this article:

DHI builds homes throughout the U.S., operating in 118 markets, with single-family, detached homes accounting for 90% of its revenue. It builds houses from entry-level up to luxury and offers financing.

With interest rate cuts on the horizon, D.R. Horton is primed to maintain its position as the industry leader based on revenue. That should help shareholders because in 2023, the company posted an operating margin of 17.2% (in 2019 it was 11.6%). That jump reflects a strong ability to generate profits from potentially growing revenue.

It’s no wonder DHI shares are up 12% this year – and they could rise more. MAPsignals data shows how Big Money investors are betting heavily on the forward picture of the stock.
