The early hours of Tuesday look as if they are showing a bit of “base building” by US equities traders. At this point in time, the market is probably exhausted from all of the selling.

In this article:

NASDAQ 100 Technical Analysis

The Nasdaq 100 rallied a bit during the early hours on Tuesday as we tried to continue stabilization and perhaps even the potential recovery of the NASDAQ 100 after what has been a very vicious market sell-off. The tariff wars continue, but I think we are getting to the point where people are just simply starting to pick up a little bit of value and given enough time, I think it only makes sense that we would get a bit of a bounce after so much negativity. After all, sooner or later, you run out of selling pressures.

Dow Jones 30 Technical Analysis

The Dow Jones 30 has rallied a bit in the early hours on Tuesday as well as it looks to continue the overall upward trend, which does, again, make sense considering we had sold off so viciously and pulled back to a major swing high from January 2022.

Now the question is, can we hang on to the momentum to the upside? I think it’s possible that we may continue to see a bit of a recovery here, maybe even try to get all the way back to the 40,000 region, if for no other reason than a short term recovery of sellers taking a profit.

S&P 500 Technical Analysis

The S&P 500 looks as if it is trying to continue its recovery as well. And I think this is probably what you are going to see across the board. I do believe that it is probably only a matter of time before traders try to run the S&P back up to the 5,400 level, but we’ll just have to see. Obviously, this is a market that has to worry about headlines quite a bit. And with that being the case, you do need to be cautious with your position size, but I think a relief rally is on its way.
