The three automakers in this article are a bit mixed in the premarket trading hours of Friday, but there are plenty of potential opportunities in this sector. These three are moving in separate movements, but there seems to be a bit of a floor in the market.

In this article:

TSLA Technical Analysis

The market for Tesla has been pretty wild as of late, and as you can see during the trading session on Thursday we initially shot higher, but it looks like the 200-day EMA is coming into the picture and offering a bit of resistance. All things being equal, I think that it looks like the buyers are willing to jump in and try to continue to push Tesla higher in pre-market trading. And it is oversold by just about any metric you measure it by. However, if you are going to buy Tesla at this point, you have to realize you have to deal with a lot of volatility here. I certainly wouldn’t get short of the market, at least not right now.

F Technical Analysis

Ford looks as if it’s going to open up pretty much where it’s stopped trading on Thursday, sitting right at the 50 day EMA, looking pretty miserable, truth be known. But we are trying to stand our ground here right around the $9 to $10 region. So, it’s one to watch. I don’t know if it’s one to start getting involved in heavily here, but I do think that it is worth noting that the volume is picking up quite a bit. So, we could be in the midst of an accumulation pattern.

BYDDY Technical Analysis

BYD is still looking very strong. It is more likely than not going to continue to find buyers on dips, with several points of interest along the way. For example, you have the $100 level, which has offered support recently. And even if you were to drop below there, you have the $85 level. Granted, there’s pretty much nothing on this chart that suggests that we are going to $85. But I think short-term pullbacks should be thought of as potential buying opportunities in BYD as it is such a leader in the EV car space.
