After repeated leaks showing Solana NFT integration into OpenSea, users anticipate a possible launch in April, following the company’s tweet.
There has been a slew of leaked images and news suggesting the addition of Solana NFT into the OpenSea marketplace. But this time, the marketplace itself has revealed the layer 1 blockchain’s NFT support starting in April.
In a short video teaser on Twitter, the OpenSea confirmed Tuesday that it would possibly include Solana non-fungible tokens (NFTs). However, the $13 billion worth company did not specify the launch date.

If added, Solana would become the fourth blockchain network, after Ethereum, Polygon, and Klaytn, to get OpenSea support.
The promo video with the caption – “The best-kept secret in web3” – displayed texts such as “wen Solana?” and “This is going to be huge.” Users eagerly anticipate the launch of some famous collections, such as Solana Monkey Business, Degenerate Apes, though exact details of the list of NFTs are still unavailable.
Nidal Hussein, Co-Founder of Jambo Mambo, an NFT gaming marketplace on the Solana blockchain, told FXEmpire,
“I think that OpenSea, including Solana NFT, will establish a lot of new blue-chip NFTs to the Solana ecosystem and will push higher highs since it is some kind of commercialization.”
The video posted by OpenSea followed tweets from top Solana NFTs and OpenSea rivals. For instance, Solana Monkey Business said, “We are setting sail monkees,” while a Solana-based metaverse project, Portals, said, “We are very excited about OpenSea integrating Solana NFTs.”

We are very excited about @opensea integrating Solana NFTs, and especially excited for @_portals_!
HERE IS WHY:
The majority of the global Metaverse sales volume is on OpenSea, and for that reason, we can't wait for Portals to be listed on OpenSea 🙌 pic.twitter.com/Pc3uW5MCvW— Portals – Your place in the metaverse (@_portals_) March 29, 2022
Magic Eden, an OpenSea rival marketplace, currently leads in Solana NFT sales, with over 90% market share, followed by Solanart, per Dune Analysis data. Magic Eden received $27 million in Series A funding led by Paradigm early this month, contributing to the marketplace boost.
The listing of Solana NFTs on OpenSea would be a challenge to its rivals, including Magic Eden. The Web3 marketplace said in a tweet, “Bring it,” which faced various comments on the competition between the two marketplaces.

The announcement follows several leaks on social media, raising hopes of OpenSea supporting Solana NFTs.
A reputed hacker and blogger, Jane Manchun Wong, leaked screen images from the OpenSea website revealing that the marketplace is integrating Solana-based NFTs with support for the Phantom wallet.
On Tuesday, before the video promo launch, Wong posted a tweet that proved evidence of the launch, suggesting Solana integration is approaching with a “Solana Beta” tag besides the OpenSea logo.
