The NFT space has experienced massive growth over the past few months as movie stars, athletes, media companies, and musicians take advantage of the latest innovation within the crypto market.
French football star Paul Pogba has become the latest name to enter the nonfungible token space. NFTs have gained widespread in the sport and entertainment sectors, and some athletes have launched and sold their NFTs.
Paul Pogba, the Manchester United and France footballer, has partnered with Ethereum-linked CryptoDragons Metaverse. CryptoDragons is centered on breedable NFT dragon collectibles, and the project has been gaining increasing attraction from NFT lovers.
The partnership with Pogba is set to increase the project’s popularity and bring in more fans to the CryptoDragons ecosystem. Pogba said, “I am happy to announce to you I’m partnering with a phenomenal project called CryptoDragons. This is my first time getting NFTs, so this is huge. You see I’m going to get some dragon Eggs so as you know what’s gonna happen – I’m gonna be the “Father of Dragons.”
This latest development doesn’t come as a surprise as celebrities embrace the unique nature of NFTs and what they have to offer.
The NFT space has grown to become a multi-billion dollar market and it is expected to grow even bigger over the coming months and years. In the third quarter of 2021, the NFT space reached a trading volume above $10 billion for the first time in history.
OpenSea remains the leading NFT marketplace in the world, accounting for most of the trading volume in the sector. Nari, CEO and co-founder of CryptoDragons, stated that he was excited to have Paul Pogba on board and expects further development in the space over the coming months and years.
