Bulgaria’s annual inflation rate stood at 4% in March 2025, unchanged from the previous month and marking the highest level since December 2023, mainly driven by stronger price gains in several key sectors: food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.3% vs. 4.6% in February), housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels (6.2% vs. 5.6%), and health (3.4% vs. 2.7%). On the other hand, inflation eased for recreation and culture (2.4% vs. 6.1%), transport (0.5% vs. 2.1%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.1% vs. 7.4%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2% in March, following a 0.6% increase in February.
