Upward price pressures came from housing and utilities (2.23% vs 1.99% in February), restaurants and hotels (3.25% vs 3.74%), and healthcare (2.02% vs 2.34%). Meanwhile, downward pressures were seen in transport (-1.12% vs -3.30%), household equipment (-1.67% vs -2.24%), communication (-0.74% vs -0.75%), and clothing and footwear (-0.52% vs -0.30%). Food and alcoholic beverages declined for the sixth consecutive month, marking the steepest drop in the sequence (-0.98% vs -0.55%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.14% in March, reversing a 0.06% decline in February.
