TOKYO (Reuters) – A casino resort project in Osaka, western Japan, is in the final stages of the government’s approval process, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters on Thursday.
The Osaka integrated resort project, which includes Japan’s first casino, has been put forward by U.S. casino operator MGM Resorts International and local partner Orix Corp.
Jiji news agency on Wednesday reported the government was set to approve the Osaka casino project as early as on Friday.
