50K Review 2025

Our Take on 50K

Founded in 2022, 50K is a mobile trading app that provides access to real US and European shares and ETFs. 50K is licensed and authorized by CySEC, a top-tier regulator. Traders can get an instant €20 trading credit as a welcome bonus when they sign up and verify their account—no deposit is required. This offer is available only in select EU countries.

Traders can trade US stocks commission-free (other fees may apply), 24/5, while also accessing European shares from German, Spanish, French, Italian, Austrian, and Polish exchanges. The ability to trade long and short makes it possible to trade in different market conditions. With high margin available, users can trade larger positions relative to their cash balance – an attractive feature for day traders.

A standout tool is Market Radar—a real-time research feed that tracks major price moves and financial events. The app itself is well-designed and intuitive, making it perfect for new traders, while its high-margin trading and flexible conditions make it equally appealing for experienced traders looking for more control.

A smooth, mobile-first design ensures a seamless user experience, making trading accessible and straightforward. The Market Radar tool is a valuable source of trading ideas, and the 50K Academy provides helpful educational articles.

The Market Radar tool provides real-time updates on significant price moves and financial news, enabling traders to react fast.

What Sets 50K Apart?

50K offers unusually high levels of margin loan, providing traders with much greater buying power than most brokers. Another feature that makes 50K stand out is 24/5 access to selected US stocks.

For this review, I performed my tests with the Standard account, using the 50K mobile app. Some features and services may vary depending on where you reside.

50KCY Ltd is licensed and authorized by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). Client funds are segregated, and negative balance protection is provided. I rate 50K as having a high level of transparency.

50K Regulators

In our reviews, we examine the regulatory status of each entity operated by a broker. We rank regulators using a three-tier system, where Tier-1 licensing reflects the highest level of regulation.

50KCY Ltd on the CySEC register
50KCY Ltd on the CySEC register

Understanding the Regulatory Protections of Your Account

Some regulators enforce strict financial standards, while others are more lenient. Traders should understand the protection offered by the entity where they intend to open an account.

  • Segregation of client funds: Keeping client funds in segregated bank accounts from the ones used for the broker’s corporate capital negates the risk of accounting errors. 50KCY Ltd ensures the segregation of client funds.
  • Negative balance protection: This safety mechanism removes the risk of trading losses exceeding the account balance. In other words, the losses you incur from trading are capped at the amount you have put in your trading account. This is especially important in volatile markets. 50KCY Ltd provides negative balance protection.
  • Compensation scheme: The compensation scheme protects retail traders against the broker’s liabilities in the unlikely event that the company becomes insolvent. Clients of 50KCY Ltd are insured by the Investor Compensation Scheme (ICF) for up to €20,000.
  • Available Margin*: 50KCY Ltd offers margin requirements as low as 1% for stocks as 0.5% for ETFs.

*The high levels of available margin can amplify both profits and losses.

Stability and Transparency

In our tests for the Trust category, we also cover factors relating to stability and transparency. Here, we focus on the broker’s operating history, size, and overall transparency.

50K’s app was first released in March 2024. According to its LinkedIn page, the company has 11-50 employees.

In my research, 50K showed high transparency in its regulatory status, listing its regulator in the footer of each page of the 50K.trade website. The website breaks down fees clearly on the Commissions page. Traders can find the Client Agreement on the Legal Documents page.

Is 50K Safe to Trade With?

To summarize, my findings indicate that 50K is relatively trustworthy and stable due to the following qualities:

  • Regulated by CySEC
  • Keeps client funds in segregated accounts
  • Provides negative balance protection
  • Ensures ICF compensation scheme

Fees

My hands-on tests showed that 50K offers favorable trading fees overall. Spreads in popular stocks are competitive, and US stocks are commission-free, but you need to keep in mind that a spread fee applies. 50K does not charge any account maintenance or deposit fees.

  • Tight spreads
  • Zero commissions on US stocks (other fees may apply)
  • Low commissions for European stocks
  • No maintenance or inactivity fees
  • No fees for deposits and some withdrawals.

Platform and Tools

Combining first-class design and cutting-edge technology, the 50K app offers a seamless trading experience. Users can take positions in the market, perform analysis, stay on top of breaking news, track their portfolio, and deposit/withdraw funds – all within the app.

50K mobile app layout
50K mobile app layout

The 50K mobile app is available for Android and iOS. During my two-week testing period, I found the app interface very user-friendly and smooth.

Key Features

  • Watchlists: Traders can create a list of their favorite instruments and easily track live quotes. Thematic lists like Risers and Fallers, Hot 100, Most Volatile, and Trending ETFs are also available.
  • Trading from the Chart: This feature enables traders to enter orders fast while performing analysis.
  • Alerts: These update traders when an instrument reaches a specific price level.
  • Market Radar: This feed provides traders with real-time updates on news, chart patterns, and major price moves.

Charts

The 50K app features robust charts powered by TradingView. They can be viewed in full size and include the following features:

  • 8 Technical Indicators: MACD, Standard Moving Averages, Exponential Moving Averages, Stochastics, Bollinger Bands, Relative Strength Index (RSI), Ichimoku Clouds, and Standard Deviation.
  • 9 Time Frames: Tick, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week.
  • 2 Chart Types: Line charts and Japanese Candlestick Charts.

Orders

The 50K app provides the following standard order types:

  • Market Order: Traders use market orders to buy or sell an instrument at the best current price.
  • Limit Order: Traders use limit orders to buy or sell an instrument at a specified price or better.
  • Stop-Loss Order: A stop-loss order is designed to limit potential losses by automatically closing a position at a set price if the market moves adversely.

50K Mobile App: My Key Takeaways

The 50K app is very intuitive and can cater to day traders, swing traders, and long-term investors. Market Radar, price alerts, and cutting-edge charts from TradingView are tools that pack a punch.

The Portfolio tab makes it easy to track your open positions and completed orders, while the Funds Management tab allows you to make deposits and withdrawals without leaving the app. Overall, I rate the design as superb—far better than the average broker app.

50K Order Execution Model

When you invest in securities via the 50K app, your orders are executed immediately by the company using its own capital. 50K undertakes to acquire the assets and hold them in your name by the end of each trading day or as soon as practicable thereafter, in accordance with the prevailing market terms.

Tradable Instruments

50K offers over 2,650 shares and ETFs from global markets, including the US, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Austria, and Poland. This selection enables traders to access the most popular stocks in the world, along with ETFs tracking indices, sectors, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and more.

The following tables show samples of US and European shares and ETFs to better illustrate the range of instruments available at 50K.

I tested 50K customer service with multiple queries, ranging from deposits and withdrawals to account-related issues. I received prompt and thorough answers. Support is available only in English.

Deposit and Withdrawal

50K clients can deposit and withdraw funds via bank wire transfer, credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and SOFORT. Processing times are relatively fast for the industry. Deposits and withdrawals are both free of charge, but withdrawals may be subject to a fee in some cases (visit the FAQ of 50K for more information).

50K deposits and withdrawals options

In the tables below, I break down the fees and processing times for each deposit and withdrawal method.

50K Deposit Methods

Method Fees Processing Time
Apple Pay 0% Instant
Google Pay 0% Instant
Visa 0% Instant
Mastercard 0% Instant
PayPal 0% Instant
SOFORT 0% Instant
Wire Transfer 0% 1 business day

Bank wire processing times at 50K are relatively fast, while instant deposits via credit card and digital wallet are standard for the industry.

50K Withdrawal Methods

Method Fees Processing Time
Apple Pay 0% 1 business day
Google Pay 0% 1 business day
Visa 0% 1 business day
Mastercard 0% 1 business day
PayPal 0% 1 business day
SOFORT 0% 1 business day
Wire Transfer 0% 1 business day

Processing times for withdrawals are also fast compared with other brokers. Often, brokers charge for withdrawals via bank wire, so 50K beats the industry average in this area.

Note: The final processing time for wire transfers depends on your bank. The transaction typically takes 1-5 working days to complete.

Account Types and Terms

50K has one universal account type. The registration process is fully digital and can be completed via the app in 10 minutes.

50K Account Opening Process

To open an account with 50K, prospective clients must provide the following information:

  • Contact and personal details (name, age, address, date of birth, tax ID).
  • Employment details (place of work, nature of the business).
  • Financial details (net annual income, net worth, primary source of funds).

Demo Account

Demo accounts are especially important for beginners as they allow them to practice their strategies and get comfortable with the trading platform without risking real money.

The 50K demo account is free and unlimited. It features live quotes and simulates live market conditions in stocks and ETFs. Once users are up to speed on a demo, they can easily switch to a live account. Within the app, you can easily toggle between demo and live accounts with a single tap.

Islamic Account

50K does not offer an interest-free Islamic Account.

What is a Margin Loan?

Margin in stock trading refers to the practice of borrowing money from a broker to purchase stocks. This allows investors to buy more shares than they could afford with their own cash alone. The borrowed amount, typically up to 50% of the purchase price, is secured by the stocks bought and other securities in the investor’s account.

The available margin at 50K is far higher than usual – for example in the case of ETFs, clients only need to have 0.5% of the total value of a market position in cash. This means that with a €1,000 account, it is possible to take on a position valued at €200,000.

In the case of stocks as little as 1% in cash is required, meaning with a €1,000 account, it is possible to take on a position valued at €100,000. This represents a unique value proposition for 50K clients.

While margin trading can amplify potential gains by increasing purchasing power, it also magnifies potential losses and involves paying interest on the borrowed funds. Investors must maintain a certain account balance, known as the maintenance margin, to avoid margin calls that could force them to deposit additional funds or sell securities.

Asset Class Lowest Initial Margin  Lowest Maintenance Margin
US Stocks 1% 0.5%
European Stocks 1% 0.5%
US ETFs 0.5% 0.25%
European ETFs 0.5% 0.25%

50K Supported Countries

50K is available in Europe, including the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Research

50K’s research tool, Market Radar, delivers a real-time feed of market research, news, and trade ideas, keeping traders informed. Built directly into the app, I rate this tool as a valuable resource for tracking market-moving events and spotting opportunities. Price alerts and notifications are also available to keep you informed when you are away from the screen.

Market Radar
Market Radar

Market Radar is a real-time tracking tool that enables users to monitor significant price movements, chart patterns, and key financial events. These alerts provide a steady flow of ideas and allow traders to react fast in the markets.

Education

50K offers educational articles via the Academy section of the website. There is also a comprehensive FAQ covering a wide range of trading topics. Educational materials are mostly suited to beginners.

50K Academy articles
50K Academy articles

50K’s website offers several concise articles on topics like dividends, ETFs, and portfolio rebalancing. However, it lacks video content, educational courses, and webinars. As a newer company, 50K could improve its offering by integrating educational materials into the app, allowing traders and investors to learn on the go.

The Bottom Line

50K is an innovative trading platform delivering an exciting range of benefits to European traders and investors. As a broker regulated by CySEC, 50K clients are guaranteed segregated funds, negative balance protection, and account insurance up to €20,000.

Clients have access to thousands of stocks from US and European exchanges. 50K does not charge commissions on US stocks (other fees may apply), and commissions on European stocks are competitive, making its fee structure very attractive.

The unusually high level of available margin loan – substantially increasing buying (or selling) power – is another standout feature.

To conclude, I rate 50K as well-suited for casual traders and long-term investors in light of its intuitive design and range of user-friendly tools like Market Radar and TradingView charts.

Meanwhile, day traders have the advantages of amplified buying power, 24/5 access to selected US stocks and ETFs, and the ability to trade both long and short positions in diverse equity markets.

Thanks to the availability of fractional share trading, the sign-up bonus of €20 enables new clients to test out the platform and buy a small piece of their favorite companies before even making a deposit.

Risk warning: Investing involves risks, one of which is the risk of losing all your invested money.
