Launched in 2016 and based in North Sydney, Blueberry has carved out a niche among Australia’s highly competitive forex and CFD providers. Clients can access trading in forex, indices, commodities, shares, and crypto via the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms.
Blueberry excels with rock-bottom fees, a diverse range of tradable instruments, and reliable customer support. I was also impressed by the VIP trading room, which provides trading ideas and direct consultation with seasoned in-house analysts.
With micro lot trading, demo accounts, and a rich library of educational materials, Blueberry is a beginner-friendly broker. At the same time, low trading costs, advanced platforms, and tools like VPS hosting make it suitable for experienced traders.

When reviewing a broker, we assess its suitability for implementing various trading strategies. To achieve this, we evaluate the availability of features and tools necessary for executing specific strategies. Here is our verdict for Blueberry:
Blueberry has many qualities that may suit beginners. These include low-risk micro-lot trading, strong educational materials, responsive support, and demo accounts. While the MetaTrader desktop platforms are not highly intuitive, the MT5 web platform is well-designed and more straightforward.
Blueberry clients can copy trade via the DupliTrade. This platform does better than the average by only listing carefully audited traders. All accounts available for copying are the real accounts of traders with years of proven track records trading with real money.
Blueberry offers an excellent range of markets for swing trading, including over 1,100 shares from diverse global exchanges. Overnight swap fees are average for the industry. However, real shares and ETFs are not available.
MetaTrader 4 and 5 provide one-click trading and trading from the chart, essential features for active traders who are in and out of the market throughout the day. Spreads are also highly competitive in most asset classes, making it easier for traders to reach profitability. The VIP trading room is a great source of ideas for day traders.
Scalpers, who are in and out of the market within seconds, can benefit from fast order execution and tools like depth-of-market (DOM) in MetaTrader 5. The VPS hosting at Blueberry also benefits scalpers with 24/7 uptime and ultra-fast trade execution of 1-3 ms or less.
Clients can access a built-in economic calendar in MT5, helping traders stay on top of news without leaving the platform. Blueberry could do better by adding more analysis of economic events and real time news, like a feed from Reuters or Dow Jones.
Blueberry offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms, which enable strategy backtesting and automated trading via expert advisors (EAs). Clients can also benefit from VPS hosting, which maximizes trade execution speed and protects against power and internet outages.
Blueberry offers managed accounts to clients who have been referred by a fund manager. However, it lacks products ideal for long-term investing, like real stocks, ETFs, bonds, and mutual funds. It also has limited tools and research for investors.
Blueberry keeps costs at a rock-bottom level, from the tight spreads available across most instruments to the absence of account-related fees. Additionally, it is a crypto-friendly broker with 68 available crypto pairs and multiple crypto deposit options. Responsive 24/7 support and innovative resources like the VIP trading room also distinguish this broker from the crowd.
For this review, I performed my tests with a Standard Account, using the MetaTrader 5 desktop platform and mobile app. The account was opened with the Blueberry (V) Ltd entity. Some features and services may vary depending on where you reside.

With an operating history of 8 years, Blueberry is a relatively new player in the CFD industry. It has two entities governed by the VFSC and ASIC, respectively. The offshore entity with limited regulatory oversight dragged the trust score lower. The broker holds client funds in segregated accounts and provides a negative balance protection. My research showed that Blueberry is transparent in key areas like regulation and fees.

In our reviews, we examine the regulatory status of each entity operated by a broker. This allows us to compare the different levels of client protection. We rank regulators using a three-tier system, where Tier-1 licensing reflects the highest level of regulation.
Here are my findings on the entities of Blueberry:
Brokers operate multiple entities to serve clients globally, yet regulatory protections vary by jurisdiction. Some regulators enforce strict financial standards, while others are more lenient. Traders should understand the protection offered by the entity where they intend to open an account.
In our tests for the Trust category, we also cover factors relating to stability and transparency. Here, we focus on the broker’s longevity, the company’s size, and transparency in terms of readily available information.
Founded in 2016, Blueberry has a relatively modest operating history. The company’s LinkedIn page lists the number of employees as 51-200, reflecting a small-sized brokerage firm.
While observing the Blueberry website (blueberrymarkets.com) and social media presence, I judged that this broker is highly transparent about its fees, regulatory status, and overall background. Information and materials were clearly laid out and easy to find.
The company’s regulatory status can be viewed in the footer of the website. Information relating to trading costs can be found on the Trading Conditions page. More detailed coverage of margin, commissions, and charges can be found in the Client Agreement on the Legal documentation page.
In summary, my findings indicate that Blueberry can be regarded as having a moderate level of trust and stability due to the following factors:
Blueberry offers better-than-average spreads in most instruments and is exceptional in some asset classes, like indices. The broker does not charge for deposits and withdrawals, and there are no account maintenance or inactivity fees. Swap fees are average for the industry.

I tested the spreads at Blueberry during the London open and just after the New York open on 4 October 2024. At these times, the market is typically highly liquid with the tightest spreads.
I found that spreads in forex were close to the industry average, while commodities, shares, and crypto were more competitive than most CFD brokers. The spreads in indices are especially tight.
The table below shows the Swap Long (the cost/credit of holding a buy position overnight) and the Swap Short (the cost/credit of maintaining a sell position overnight) for one full-sized contract.
A full-sized contract is 100,000 units of the base currency (the first currency quoted in the pair). I recorded the data on 4 October 2024.
Instrument | Swap Long | Swap Short |
EUR/USD | Charge of $6.04 | Credit of $2.82 |
GBP/JPY | Credit of $16.08 | Charge of $42.42 |
The values listed below are for one full contract (100,000 units) of the base currency.
My tests showed that spreads at Blueberry are in the standard range for the industry.
Blueberry does not charge deposit/withdrawal fees or inactivity/account maintenance fees.
Overall, I rate the fees at Blueberry as highly competitive for the following reasons:
Blueberry provides the popular MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 for desktop, web, and mobile users. These platforms cater to advanced traders and those employing automated strategies. MAM/PAMM capability also enables money managers to place trades in multiple accounts simultaneously.
Platform/Tool | Suitable For |
---|---|

MetaTrader 5 (Desktop, Web) | Experienced Traders, Day Trading, Scalping, Algo Trading, MAM/PAMM, Trading Signals |

In my live tests, I used the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform. It is available in 52 languages, from Arabic to Vietnamese, and provides popular features such as:
The MarketWatch panel enables traders to stay on top of their favorite instruments at a glance.
Charting features are robust. MetaTrader 5 offers:
MetaTrader 5 delivers when it comes to the range of available order types. The platform offers the following:
The MetaTrader 5 desktop platform is one of the most feature-rich and popular retail trading platforms. However, it may present a steep learning curve for beginners. MT5 offers a greater number of technical indicators, graphical objects, and analytical objects than MT4. It also has great additional features like an economic calendar and market depth (DOM).
From the client portal, traders can easily access the MetaTrader 5 WebTrader platform. The MT5 web platform differs greatly from the desktop and has a more user-friendly interface.
It allows you to trade without any additional software – only an internet connection is required. The Web Platform allows users to trade directly from any browser and operating system.
Popular features of the WebTrader platform include:
Charting via the WebTrader platform is outstanding. Traders can make use of:
The WebTrader platform provides standard order types, including market orders, limit orders, and stop loss orders. Time-in-force conditions like Good-Til-Canceled (GTC) or a specified date can be applied to pending orders.
Blueberry offers the MetaTrader 5 mobile app for mobile trading, which is available for Android and iOS. The app offers popular features such as alerts, 1-click trading, and trading from the chart.
The MT5 mobile app also provides many order types, including pending and stop orders. However, trailing stop-loss orders are only available from the desktop. To change the language of the MT5 app, you must change the language for your entire phone.
Overall, the MetaTrader 5 app offers an above-average range of features and I rate it as a well-designed app. I appreciated the wide range of technical indicators and the option of trading from the chart for fast order entry on the move.
Blueberry operates under the Principle Model of brokerage. This means it is the counterparty to all client trades. It acts as a market maker, setting the prices at which it is prepared to deal with clients. To allow Blueberry to have a completely neutral position and limited internal risk, it may enter into an agreement with hedging counterparties immediately after clients place a trade.
Blueberry offers an excellent range of 1,300+ tradable instruments, including forex, indices, commodities, shares, and crypto. Commodities like gold can be traded against different currencies. Among CFDs on shares, clients have access to an outstanding variety of global exchanges.
Instrument | Number | Type | Industry Average |
Forex Pairs | 63 | Major, Minor, Exotic | 30–75 |
Commodities | 21 | Metals, Energies | 5–10 |
Indices | 15 | US, UK, European, Asian and Australian | 5–10 |
Stocks | 1167 | US, UK, European and Australian Exchanges | 200–300 |
Cryptocurrencies | 68 | Major and Minor | 10–20 |
Blueberry offers a slightly above-average selection of forex pairs and excels in indices and cryptocurrencies. It has strong coverage of metals in commodities but lacks agricultural options.
The variety of global shares is impressive, with securities from major exchanges such as the Australian Securities Exchange, NASDAQ, London Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange, Euronext Paris, Madrid Stock Exchange, and Deutsche Börse Xetra.
A Contract for Difference (CFD) is an agreement specifying that the buyer must pay the seller the difference between an asset’s current value and its value at the time the contract was initiated. Like futures and other derivative financial instruments, CFDs allow traders to speculate on price movements without owning the underlying asset.
To better illustrate the range of instruments available at Blueberry, the following tables show samples from various asset classes:
Forex Majors | Forex Minors |
EUR/USD | USD/JPY | USD/CHF | AUD/NZD | EUR/SEK | NOK/SEK |
Major Indices | Minor Indices |
GER30 | JP225 | DJ30 | China50 | Swiss20| US2000 |
Energies | Metals |
WTI Crude | Brent Crude | Silver | Palladium | Nickel |
Crypto | Shares |
Polkadot | Ripple | TRON | Qantas | Peloton | Sainsbury |
I rate the range of forex pairs as solid, while the variety of indices, shares, and cryptocurrencies is excellent. Blueberry could do better by adding soft commodities like soybeans and instruments like ETFs and bonds.
Blueberry offers 24/7 support via phone, live chat, and email. I received quick responses via chat and email, though agents sometimes struggled with my questions. However, I always got a satisfactory answer in the end. Overall, I had a positive experience over my two-week testing period, and I rate Blueberry support as above average for the industry.
Support is a key component of a broker’s offering – whether you are a new trader looking for guidance on how to use the platform or an experienced trader who needs help fast to exit their positions in the event of a technical glitch.
I tested support at Blueberry over the phone, live chat, and email, with multiple inquiries. Agents were not always very well versed in CFD industry terminology but did their best to help.
With live chat, you have to go through a series of automated questions before reaching an operator, but after doing so, I found that you can reliably reach a live agent. I received replies to emails within one day.
My overall impression was that Blueberry offers personalized support with reliable agents. Sometimes it took a couple of tries to get the info I was looking for, but in the end, I was always able to get a satisfactory response.

The Standard Account reflects all costs in the spread, making it a simple and easy starting point for beginners. The Direct Account offers lower costs, making it more suitable for active, experienced traders.
Blueberry offers free demo accounts that can be used via MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms.
Demo accounts are especially important for beginners as they allow them to practice their strategies and get comfortable with the trading platform without risking real money.
The demo account features live quotes and simulates live market conditions in assets like forex and CFDs on commodities, indices, and stocks. Once users are up to speed on a demo, they can easily switch to a live account.
Blueberry offers a swap-free account that adheres to the principles of Sharia law.
One of the reasons that traders are attracted to the forex and CFD markets is the high degree of available leverage. Leverage is the use of borrowed funds to increase the size of your trading positions beyond what would be possible using only the cash in your account.
For the Blueberry (V) Ltd. entity, the maximum leverage is 1:500. This means that with an account of $1,000, you can control up to $500,000 worth of positions in the market. This is an unusually high level of leverage and very risky to use.
Leverage is often described as a ‘double-edged sword’ as it can hurt you as much as it helps you. Traders should keep in mind that it can amplify both their profits and their losses.
Leverage varies by asset class, as illustrated in the following table:
Asset Class | Maximum Available Leverage |
Forex | 1:500 |
Metals | 1:500 |
Energies | 1:500 |
Indices | 1:200 |
Cryptocurrencies | 1:10 |
Shares | 1:5 |
Blueberry does not accept as clients residents of the following countries:
American Samoa, Canada (Ontario), Central African Republic, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Democratic Republic of Congo, Guam, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Saipan, Somalia, Sudan, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Vanuatu, Yemen.
Market news and analysis on the Blueberry website have not been updated since July 2024. However, the broker has provided a more recent analysis in video format via its YouTube channel. Additionally, the VIP trading room provides market insights and direct consultation with top-tier analysts.
In-house analyst Jon Kibbler provides video-based market analysis, covering major market stories and explaining the fundamental forces driving price movements. The analysis also includes a technical overlay, highlighting key support and resistance levels.
The innovative VIP Trading Room provides access to live analysis from market veterans, including Desmond Leong, Jon Kibbler, Peggy Sirirat, Emily Saw, and Ketan Rameshchandra.
The chat room features dedicated areas for various instruments, such as gold and oil, where clients can access live analysis and engage with other traders and analysts in real-time chats.
There is also a useful section explaining trading strategies in video format.
While the written analysis via the website needs updating, I was impressed overall by the research resources available. The video content on YouTube is high-quality and insightful. Most importantly, the VIP Trading Room gets to the heart of what most traders look for live analysis, interaction with experienced analysts, and practical trading ideas and strategies.
Blueberry has a rich variety of educational materials that can help beginners build a foundation, while also providing resources to help experienced traders refine their skills and strategies. Clients can take advantage of articles, videos, and tutorials from the website. I rate the quality and volume of the content as better than average for the industry.
The Academy section of the website breaks educational articles into beginner, intermediate, and advanced categories. Beginners can get started with themes like understanding leverage in forex. Intermediate topics cover technical indicators and concepts like trend analysis. The advanced section goes into explaining specific strategies like the Opening Range Breakout.
The video tutorial section covers a range of topics from forex basics to technical analysis and strategies. These tutorials may help clients get up to speed and make the most of the MetaTrader platform.
Blueberry is regulated by top-tier ASIC and offshore VFSC. With eight years of experience, it is a relatively young broker. It offers highly competitive fees, with tight spreads and minimal account-related charges. I was impressed by its well-rounded selection of tradable instruments, particularly its robust range of cryptocurrency pairs.
I found Blueberry to be a user-centric broker, attentive to the needs of its client base. It offers features like an interactive VIP trading room, solid customer support, and diverse educational materials.
Blueberry could improve by updating the analysis on its website and adding a proprietary platform. Due to the limited regulatory oversight of the offshore entity, trust was the weakest category. Private insurance could improve this by protecting client accounts in the event of insolvency.
Overall, I rate Blueberry as a promising and innovative player in the CFD industry with an attractive offering for both beginners and experienced traders.
