The most important components in the CPI are Food and Non Alcoholic Beverages (55.1 percent of total weight); Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuel (11.1 percent) and Clothing and Footwear (7 percent). Miscellaneous Goods and Services account for 6.9 percent of total index, Housing Equipment and Routine Maintenance of the House for 6.3 percent, Transport for 3.9 percent and Restaurants and Hotels for 3.2 percent. Health represents 2.5 percent of total weight, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco 2.3 percent, Recreation 1.6 percent and Education 0.01 percent.

The annual inflation rate in Angola eased for the eighth straight month to 23.85% in March 2025, the lowest since January 2024, reflecting continued support from the relative stability of the kwanza.. On a monthly basis, the CPI rose by 1.38% in March, down from a 1.59% increase in February, largely due to a slowdown in price growth for food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.39% vs 1.75%); hotels,cafes & restaurants (1.75% vs 2.01%); clothing & footwear (1.62% vs 1.95%) and miscellaneous goods & services (1.56% vs 1.67%).
