The Czech unemployment rate rose to 4.1% in December 2024, up from 3.9% in the previous month, in line with market expectations. This marked the highest reading since April 2021, as the number of unemployed persons rose by 16,053 month-on-month to 306,478 and was up by 27,251 compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, the number of job vacancies declined by 9,068 from the previous period to 246,573 and was 32,135 lower than in December last year.
