The annual inflation rate in Estonia slowed to 4.4% in March 2025 from a nineteen-month high of 5.3% in the previous month. Prices moderated mainly for housing and utilities (3.9% vs 8% in February), transport (6.3% vs 8%), and communication (1.2% vs 7.1%). At the same time, costs declined further for clothing and footwear (-3.4% vs -1.3%). Meanwhile, inflation continued to increase for food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.7% vs 5.1%), household goods (2.8% vs 2%), and hotels, cafes, restaurants (5.4% vs 4.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.5% in March, the first drop in four months, following a 1.4% gain in the preceding period.
