The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Greece fell to 8.6% in February 2025, from an upwardly revised 9.1% in the previous month. This marks the lowest level since December 2008, as the number of unemployed individuals dropped by 22.9 thousand to a 16-year low of 404.6 thousand. Meanwhile, employment increased by 36.9 thousand to 4.31 million. At the same time, the number of people outside the labor force declined by 16.5 thousand to 3.04 million.
