Hong Kong Unemployment Rate

Hong Kong’s seasonal adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3% in the three months ending September 2024, unchanged from the previous six period. The number of unemployed persons fell by 2.4 thousand from a month earlier to 119.9 thousand, while employment increased by 1.7 thousand to 3.710 million. Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, measuring job-seekers between 20 to 29 years old, remained unchanged at 6.5%. The labor force participation rate edged down to 57.1% from 57.2%.
