Hungary’s trade surplus narrowed to EUR 1,140 million in February 2025 from EUR 1,739 million in the corresponding month of the previous year, as exports dropped while imports rose. Exports fell by 3.3% year-on-year to EUR 12,297 million, while imports increased by 1.6% to EUR 11,156 million. Considering the first two months of the year, the country’s trade surplus decreased to EUR 2,059 million from EUR 2,299 million in the same period last year, as exports decreased by 1.3% while imports grew by 0.6%.
