Hungary’s trade surplus narrowed to EUR 1,233 million in September 2024 from EUR 1,420 million in the same month last year, preliminary estimates showed. Exports declined 5% year-on-year to EUR 12,330 million, while imports dropped 4% to EUR 11,097 million. The share of EU member states was 75% in exports and 71% in imports. Considering the January-September period, the country posted a trade surplus of EUR 9,613 million.
