Ireland’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4% in March 2025, a slight increase from February's record low of 3.9%. The number of unemployed people rose by 1,900 month-over-month to 114,800 in March. Unemployment rose to 59,000 for males and 55,800 for females, up from 58,200 and 54,700, respectively, in February. On an annual basis, the unemployment rate decreased to 4% from 4.3% in March last year. Meanwhile, among individuals aged 25-74 years, the jobless rate ticked up to 2.9% in March from 2.8% in the prior month.
