Kenya's annual food price growth, the largest component in the inflation basket, quickened to 15.8% in October of 2022, from 15.5% in the previous month. it was the highest reading since June of 2017, with the biggest increases recorded for sugar (36.3%), cooking oil (33.6%), potatoes (32.6%), maize flour (33.5%) and beans (24.4%).
