The unemployment rate in Latvia decreased to 6.7% in Q3 2024, down from 6.9% in the previous quarter, nonetheless still higher than the 6.5% in the corresponding period of 2023. There was 63 thousand unemployed persons aged 15-74, 2.8 thousand less compared to the previous quarter. Meanwhile, 31.2% or 427.8 thousand from the population aged 15-74 were inactive. As for youth unemployment rate, it fell to 13% from 16.9% in the previous quarter.
