The annual inflation rate in Mozambique rose for the sixth month to 4.77% in March 2025, hitting a new high since November 2023. Main upward pressure came from prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (12.08% vs 11.89% in February); restaurants & hotels (6.09% vs 6.20%); miscellaneous goods & services (3.32% vs 2.95%) and recreation & culture (3.18% vs 2.23%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.06% in March, after a 0.52% increase in the prior month.
