This marked the softest growth since the first quarter, as sharp declines in government spending (-8.1%) and fixed investments (-12%) partially offset a 4.9% rise in household consumption. Net external demand also weighed on growth, with exports down 4.3% while imports rose 3.7%. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy grew 0.8% in Q4, up from 0.1% in the previous period.
