The Romanian GDP expanded by 0.7% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2024, slowing from a 1.2% rise in the previous three-month period and missing market expectations of a 1.5% growth, preliminary estimates showed. This marked the fifteenth consecutive quarter of economic expansion albeit at a softer pace. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the country's economy advanced by 0.8% in Q4, accelerating from an upwardly revised 0.1% increase in the previous quarter.
