The Romanian GDP advanced by 1.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2024, up from a 0.9% rise in the previous three-month period but missing market forecasts of 1.9% gain, a preliminary estimate showed. It marked the fourteenth consecutive period of expansion and the strongest since the fourth quarter of 2023. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the country's economy stagnated in Q3 of 2024 from a downwardly revised 0.1% increase in the previous three-month period.
