Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to a six-month low of 5.2% in December 2024, from 5.3% in the previous month. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 7 thousand from a month earlier to 428.6 million. Among genders, the jobless rate for men edged down to 5.4% (vs 5.5% in November), while that for women remained unchanged at 5%. In December 2023, the jobless rate was 5.6%.
