Sri Lanka Tourist Arrivals

The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka rose by 10.01% year-on-year to 240,217 in February 2025, easing from a 21.37% jump in the previous month. Among key markets, India (14.9%) remained the top tourist source market, followed by Russia (12.6%), UK (10.6%), Germany (7.2%), France (6.4%), China (4.9%), Australia (3.7%), Poland (3.5%), US (2.7%), and Netherlands (2.3%). For the first two months of the year, the number of foreign tourists climbed 15.56% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 492,978. On a monthly basis, foreign tourist arrivals dropped by 4.96%.
