Industrial production in Sweden fell by 0.7% year-on-year in February 2025, easing from an downwardly revised 2.0% decline in the previous month. The smaller decline was driven by a softer output contraction in manufacturing (-0.7% vs -2.9% in January) and electricity, gas, steam, and hot water production (-3.5% vs -5.0%). At the same time, activity growth moderated in mining and quarrying, with output rising 2.0%, sharply slowing from 21.9% advance in January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rebounded by 0.4% in February, following an upwardly revised 8.3% drop in the preceding period.
