The Swiss unemployment rate stood at 2.9% in a non-seasonally adjusted March 2025, unchanged from the previous month, remaining close to the highest jobless rate since May 2021, touched in January of 3.0%. The number of unemployed persons fell by 2.9 thousand to 132.6 thousand. Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, measuring job-seekers between 15 and 24 years old, inched down to 2.6% from 2.7% in February, with the number of young unemployed falling by 0.4 thousand to 11.7 thousand. The number of vacancies reported dropped by 1.9 thousand to 42.5 thousand positions during the period. Adjusted for seasonal factors, the jobless rate edged up to 2.8% from 2.7% in the previous month.
