The annual inflation rate in Tunisia accelerated to 5.9% in March 2025, up from 5.7% in February. The main drivers of the increase were food and non-alcoholic beverages (7.8% vs. 7% in February), clothing and footwear (11.7% vs. 9.7%), and household contents, equipment, and maintenance (5.5%, unchanged). Meanwhile, housing and utilities inflation eased slightly (3.2% vs. 3.8%), and transportation remained steady at 3.2%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 2.0% in March, following a 0.5% gain in the previous month.
