Tunisia Unemployment Rate

The unemployment rate in Tunisia declined to 16.0% in the second quarter of 2024 from 16.2% in the first quarter of 2024. It was the lowest jobless rate since the third quarter of 2023, as the number of unemployed fell to 661,700 in Q2, compared with 669,300 in Q1, with the unemployment rate for men stood at 13.6% while the unemployment rate for women was 21.3%. In the meantime, the unemployment rate for young people aged 15-24 increased to 41% in Q2 from 39.2% in Q1.
