Corporate profits in the United States rose by 5.9% from the previous period to $3.312 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2024, rebounding from a 0.4% fall in the third quarter. Undistributed profits soared 15.1% after showing no growth in the previous period, and net dividends rose by 0.5%, recovering from a 0.7% drop. Also, net cash flow with inventory valuation adjustment accelerated to 5.8% from 0.4%. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, corporate profits rose by 6.8%.
