ROME (Reuters) – Italy will resolve an issue related to a Lukoil-owned oil refinery in Sicily in the next few weeks, the country’s industry minister said on Thursday.
The plant stands to be hit by an embargo on seaborne Russian oil that comes into force in December.
“I can reassure that we will find the solution,” Adolfo Urso said while interviewed on Sky TG 24, adding that the government would announce a decision when it had fully made its own assessments.
Meetings on the topic had already been held on Wednesday and more were planned for Thursday, he added.
