True Global Ventures 4 Plus (TGV4 Plus) Fund announced today that they are allocating around $25 million into Web3 blockchain companies.
Overall, according to the announcement, the firm seeks to invest in major verticals such as Infrastructure and Financial Services, including Play-To-Earn games (GameFi), metaverse, and NFTs.
Additionally, with the growing expansion of its blockchain investments, TGV4 Plus is increasing its presence globally, specifically in the United Arab Emirates and Spain.
The fund recently invested in three companies: Forza Ikonia, Pinktada, and PictureThis. Prior to this maneuver, True Global Ventures 4 Plus made other investments in crypto companies such as The Sandbox.
That said, TGV4 Plus has five new companies into the major verticals of the so-called Web3 industry. Now, with the $25 million investment in place, the fund will have a portfolio of 13 companies, with more details to be revealed soon.
Moreover, today, the fund welcomed three companies within its portfolio, such as Per Kronholm, Olivier Crespin, and Pearce Clune – all blockchain-related firms aligned with the fund’s efforts to bolster its presence on the Web3, TGV4 Plus commented in the press release shared with FXEmpire.
Early this month, Hashed, a blockchain investment fund from South Korea, raised $200 million in funds to capitalize on its growth in the Web3 sphere. The announcement of Hashed Venture Fund II comes just one year after the launch of Hashed Venture Fund I that saw $120 million in funds raised.
Major companies from the IT industry in South Korea joined the venture, which also accompanied the promotion of Sean Hong and Baek Kim, two long-time members of Hashed, as Partners.
Hashed is known for having made over 30 targeted investments since the launch of its venture arm. Some of them include dYdX, a major decentralized exchange. Also, Republic, NFTBank, and Chai are among the ventures where Hashed co-invested jointly with SoftBank Ventures.
