The annual inflation rate in Armenia rose to 3.3% in March 2025 from 2.5% in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since April 2023, as prices accelerated notably for food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.4% vs 4.5% in February), housing and utilities (1.4% vs 0.3%), transport (3.7% vs 2.6%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.1% vs 3.4%), and recreation and culture (1.4% vs 0.9%). On the other hand, inflation edged lower for communication (0.2% vs 0.4%) and restaurants and hotels (1.1% vs 1.3%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.5% in March 2025 from 0.1% in the preceding period.
