Botswana’s inflation rate rose further to 2.8% in March 2025, marking the third consecutive monthly increase and the highest reading since last August. Upward pressure came mostly from prices of miscellaneous goods & services (7.7% vs 7.7% in February); food & non-alcoholic beverages (5.8% vs 5.5%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (7.6% vs 7.4%) and clothing & footwear (4.2% vs 3.9%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.2% in March after increasing by 0.3% in the previous month.
