Industrial producer prices in the Euro Area jumped 3.0% year-on-year in February 2025, marking the highest inflation rate since March 2023, largely driven by a sharp increase in energy costs (7.4% vs. 3.4% in January). Price gains were also recorded across other categories, including non-durable consumer goods (1.7% vs. 1.8%), capital goods (1.6% vs. 1.7%), durable consumer goods (0.9% vs. 1.5%), and intermediate goods (0.9% vs. 0.5%). Excluding energy, producer price inflation edged up to 1.4% from 1.3% in the previous month.
