In Greece, the Production Index in Construction (IPC) is an important business cycle indicator, which shows the quarterly activity in the production of building construction and the production of civil engineering sectors.

Construction output in Greece rose by 3.3% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, following a downwardly revised 5.6% increase in the previous quarter. This marked the second consecutive quarter of growth in construction activity, supported by a faster rise in the output of residential and non-residential building construction (9.8% vs 9.2% in Q2) and a rebound in specialised construction activities (6.6% vs -3.5%). On the other hand, construction output in civil engineering contracted by 6%, reversing from a 13% gain in the prior quarter. On a quarterly basis, construction activity fell by 2.3% in Q3, slipping from a downwardly revised 41.9% growth in the preceding period.
