Lithuania’s annual inflation rate slightly eased to 3.5% in February 2025, staying close to a sixteen-month high of 3.6% in the previous month. Prices growth mainly accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.1% vs. 2.6% in January), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.6% vs. 7.0%), and furnishings, household equipment, and routine maintenance of homes (2.0% vs. 1.1%). Meanwhile, inflation slowed for transport (3.4% vs. 5.5%), restaurants and hotels (6.4% vs. 7.1%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.0% vs. 4.4%), while price declines for clothing and footwear were less pronounced (-1.5% vs. -1.8%), and housing and utilities slightly rebounded (0.1% vs. -0.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices eased by 0.6%, following a 1.8% increase in the previous period—the highest in two years.
