Lithuania's annual inflation rate rose to 4.1% in March 2025 from 3.5% in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since August 2023, as prices mainly accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.5% vs 3.1% in February), household and utilities (3.4% vs 0.1%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.7% vs 8.6%), communication (3.6 vs 2%), miscellaneous goods and services (4.7% vs 3%), and recreation and culture (4.4% vs 4.3%). Meanwhile, inflation slowed for transport (1.6% vs 3.4%), furnishings, household equipment, routine maintenance of homes (0.8% vs 2%), and health (5% vs 5.3%), while deflation eased for clothing and footwear (-0.9% vs -1.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged lower to 0.4% from 0.6% of the previous month.
