The unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia rose to 3.7% in the third quarter of 2024, up from a record low of 3.3% in the previous period. Among genders, the jobless rate for women increased by 0.8 percentage points, recording 13.6%, compared to the prior quarter, while it was 4.7% for men from 1.7% previously. The labor force participation rate rose by 0.4 percentage points in the quarter to 66.6%. Meanwhile, the employment rate edged higher to 64.1% from 64%.
