The overall unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia dropped to 3.5% in Q4 of 2024 from a five-quarter high of 3.7% in Q3. Among genders, the jobless rate declined for both Saudi females (11.9% vs 13.6% in Q3) and Saudi males (4.3% vs 4.7%). The overall labor force participation rate went down to 66.4% from a three-quarter peak of 66.6% in Q3. Meanwhile, the employment-to-population ratio rate edged lower to 64.0% in Q4 from the prior 64.1%.
