The manufacturing industry in Turkey operated at 74.1% of its production capacity in January 2026, lower than 74.4% in the previous month. This marked the lowest reading since September last year, signaling a slowdown in industrial activity at the start of the year. Capacity usage declined largely for durable consumer goods (65.5% vs 68.5% in December 2025) and consumer goods (71.2% vs 72%). Additionally, lower production capacity was recorded for non-durable consumer goods (72.4% vs 72.7%), food and beverages (72.8% vs 73.1%), intermediate goods (75.2% vs 75.3%), and investment goods (71.5% vs 71.7%).
