Turkey Unemployment Rate

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Turkey declined to 8.06% in November 2024, down from a revised 8.7% in October and below the 9% recorded a year earlier. The number of unemployed individuals fell by 84,000 to 3.72 million. Meanwhile, employment decreased by 168,000 to 32.748 million, lowering the employment rate to 49.6%, compared to 49.8% in October. The employment rate for men stood at 67.1%, while for women it was 32.4%. Additionally, the labor force participation rate dropped to 54.2% from 54.6%. On a positive note, the youth unemployment rate improved, decreasing to 15.8% from 16.3%.
