Crude oil inventories in the US rose by 0.545 million barrels in the week ended November 15, 2024, above market expectations of a 0.4 million build, data from the EIA Petroleum Status Report showed. At the same time, gasoline stocks increased by 2.054 million, more than forecasts of a 1.62 million increase. On the other hand, crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub went down by 0.140 million barrels, following a 0.688 million barrels decrease in the previous period. Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, dropped by 0.114 million barrels, compared with a consensus of a 0.2 million fall.
