Crude oil inventories in the US rose by 4.633 million barrels in the week ended February 14, 2025, above market expectations of a 3 million build, data from the EIA Petroleum Status Report showed. At the same time, crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub also rose by 1.472 million barrels, the most since May 2024. On the other hand, gasoline stocks decreased by 0.151 million, compared with forecasts of a 0.7 million increase. Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, dropped by 2.051 million barrels, more than consensus of a 1.2 million draw.
