Crude oil inventories in the US rose by 1.745 million barrels in the week ended March 14, 2025, above market expectations of a 1.1 million build, data from the EIA Petroleum Status Report showed. On the other hand, crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub fell by 1.009 million barrels, after a 1.128 million decrease. Also, gasoline stocks fell by 0.527 million, less than forecasts of a 2 million draw. Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, dropped by 2.812 million barrels, more than the consensus of a 0.1 million decrease.
