On the production side, services are the biggest sector of Ukrainian economy and account for nearly 68 percent of total GDP, of which the most important are; domestic trade (14 percent) and accommodation and food service (13 percent). Industry accounts for 22 percent of GDP and is divided by manufacturing (11 percent); and agriculture (10 percent).

Ukraine’s gross domestic product grew by 3.7% annually in the second quarter of 2024, easing from the 6.4% increase in the earlier period but still marking the fifth consecutive quarter of growth. This extended the rebound of the Ukrainian economy after Russia’s invasion triggered five consecutive quarters of deep depression in its gross domestic product. From the previous quarter, the Ukrainian GDP expanded by 0.2% at a seasonally adjusted rate during the three months ending in June.
