Belgium’s annual inflation rate fell to 2.91% in March 2025 from 3.55% in the previous month, marking the lowest rate since January 2024. Price growth slowed for housing and utilities (7.59% vs 8.29% in February), health (1.72% vs 1.99%), recreation and culture (2.34% vs 2.8%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.72% vs 3.81%). At the same time, prices decreased for transport (-0.14% vs 1.89%), clothing and footwear (-3.67% vs -0.29%), and communication (-0.94% vs -0.73%). In contrast, costs increased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.52% vs 2.44%) and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.02% vs 7.03%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.07% in March, reversing a 0.2% rise in February.
