Chile's unemployment rate fell to 8.2% in the three months leading up to November 2024, down from 8.7% in the same month of the previous year, and below analysts' expectations of 8.5%. This was the lowest figure since the three months to January 2023, the number of unemployed declined by 4.9% to around 831 thousand, while employed rose by 1.6% to around 9.29 million. At the same time, the workforce increased by 1% to around 10.1 million.
