Chile Unemployment Rate

Chile's unemployment rate dropped to 8.6% in the three months leading up to October 2024, down from 8.9% in the same month of the previous year, and below expectations of 8.7%. This was the lowest figure since the three months to June, as the number of unemployed fell by 1.7% to around 868 thousand, while employed rose by 2.2% to around 9.25 million. At the same time, the workforce increased by 1.8% to around 10.1 million.
